How to maintain your hair extensions ?

Your hair extensions will need moving up roughly every 6-8 weeks depending on your natural hair growth, length and thickness. When you come back to the salon you will have your hair extensions removed and reapplied with new beads and restitched in securely.

Regular brushing is always recommended using the correct brush for your hair extensions.

When exercising or going to bed you should always wear your hair pulled back in a pony or plait/braid to ensure no knotting or tangling. Scrunchies are a great option as they are nice and soft on the hair!

Avoiding any products that contain Sulphates, Parabens, Protein (Keratin) and alcohols on the hair.

Using heat frequently on your hair extensions will shorten the lifespan of them. It is so important to replace any moisture lost to keep them in the best condition and protect them from any heat damage. Our fav product is Milkshake Thermal Spray on our extensions. You won't be able to live without it!

The extensions aren't attached to your scalp, so they don't receive the same oil that your hair produces naturally. By applying a hair oil regularly, it keeps your extensions hydrated, soft, and prolongs the life of them. We recommend the Cpr Fortify oil

Naturally you lose roughly 100 strands of hair a day. Hair will be brushed out during your maintenance appointment, but do not confuse this for damage. This is what your hair has naturally shed during the 6-8 weeks that has been trapped inside the lined beads.

The correct products will always be recommended that are 100% safe to use on extensions containing no harmful ingredients that have been trialed and tested to ensure longevity of your extensions! Think of it as insurance for your hair 😉  you wouldn’t buy a new car and not get insurance before you leave the car yard right!? It is so important to follow the correct aftercare to get the most out of your hair!
